Changelog
What changed in Contradicto, newest first.
Public launch
- Pages in your language. About, Privacy, Terms, and the other site pages now come in English, Lithuanian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, and open in your browser’s language.
- Legal notice and accessibility statement. New pages give our legal and contact details, say how accessible the game is, and tell you how to report a barrier.
- Safer motions and names. Motions you write, display names, room names, bios, and handles get a safety check before anyone sees them. Nobody can pose as Vera or the site, and the word filter catches disguised spellings without masking innocent words.
- Fair results when the AI fails. If an AI failure decides a match, the match is unrated and stays off the Daily Debate board. If it happens on your Daily Debate, you get that day’s try back the first time.
- Typing at the pace of speech. Typed arguments count at up to the pace of speech, so a pre-written answer pasted in is refused.
- Fairer viewer votes. Each network can cast at most 3 ballots for The Chat seat in a match.
- Offline banner. When your connection drops, a banner says so, and the match picks up again when you are back online.
- Volume sliders. The speaker button now sets separate volumes for sound effects and Vera’s voice.
- Typed turns when the mic fails. If your microphone cannot start, that turn becomes a typed one, and a message tells you why.
- AI labels. Clips carry an “AI-generated” label, and an “AI voice” tag sits under Vera’s name once her voice plays.
- Install the app. Add Contradicto to your home screen or desktop and open it like an app.
- A page for every motion. Browse every motion, and play one against Vera or challenge a friend to it straight from its page.
- Hide an opponent from your viewers. In a match with another player, the ⋯ menu can hide their name and words from your viewers, overlay, and clips, and lets you block and report them in one step.
- Status and changelog. The status page shows whether everything works, and this page lists what changes.
